GM LS — the swap and power-adder king, built to your target at HRC.
Whether it's a cam-and-top-end wake-up, a naturally aspirated stroker, or a boost-ready short block for your next swap, HRC builds LS combinations to the power target and assembles them in Huntington Beach — OEM crank where it is the right answer, aftermarket forged when it is not, with bearings and valvetrain chosen per build.

Questions about HRC builds
What internals go into an HRC LS build?
LS crankshafts are most often OEM, with aftermarket options such as Dart used when the power target calls for it. The rest of the rotating assembly is spec'd per build.
Which engines does HRC build besides the LS?
Ford's 5.0 Coyote and 7.3 Godzilla. All three families are assembled in-house in Huntington Beach.
Does HRC tune engines?
No. HRC builds, assembles and installs in-house; engine tuning is handled by a partner shop. Any power figure shown on this site is a build target, not a tuned result.
Does HRC have a dyno?
No. There is no in-house dynamometer at HRC. Horsepower numbers on this site are the targets a combination is spec'd to reach, never dyno-verified measurements.
Are the horsepower figures on this site verified?
They are build targets, not measured results. A target is the number a combination is specified to make; confirming it needs a dyno session, which is done by a partner shop rather than at HRC.
Who does the machine work?
Machine work is carried out by a partner machine shop in California. Assembly is done in-house on the bench at HRC in Huntington Beach.
Can I visit the shop or buy parts over the counter?
The Huntington Beach location is HRC's headquarters and a by-appointment service bay, not a retail counter open to the general public. Parts are sold online and shipped nationwide; build and installation work is scheduled in advance.
Do you ship parts nationwide?
Yes. HRC ships parts across the United States. The Huntington Beach location handles scheduled build and installation work by appointment.
Is the pricing on this page final?
Stages marked Fixed Scope are fixed. Everything else is indicative and quote-confirmed after intake, when final scope, machine work and parts availability are settled.
