TCI Engineering’s 1973–1987 Chevy C10 Truck 4‑Link Rear Suspension delivers a major ride‑height drop along with a smoother ride, better handling, reduced weight, and stronger axle control. This kit provides the maximum drop possible without bed modifications, giving you excellent performance while still preserving full truck utility.
To achieve this, we use a unique axle‑bracket design that captures the axle tube 360 degrees. This approach keeps the bracket bolt‑on while remaining extremely rigid. Fully boxed C‑notches made from 3/16″ plate reinforce both the inside and outside of the frame. We designed the notches around the factory 12‑bolt rearend, leaving roughly ¼” of clearance at full compression. This setup maximizes drop and wheel travel. The 4‑link frame brackets also use boxed 3/16″ plate and mount directly to the factory leaf‑spring locating holes, which simplifies installation. Standard 1.25″ O/D link bars handle drag‑strip abuse yet still articulate smoothly for street or autocross use.
Moving to adjustability, the 4‑link bars allow precise tuning of wheelbase and pinion angle while eliminating wheel hop and improving axle control. Ridetech 26‑way adjustable coil‑overs come standard. The coil‑over mounts offer three height‑adjustment positions, and you can fine‑tune ride height further through the shock body. At the lowest static setting, fender‑to‑ground clearance measures 24.50″ with 29″ tires. Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings with lubrication valleys and poly lube ensure long‑lasting, quiet performance. We manufacture every TCI Engineering component from US steel for maximum strength and reliability.
Installation stays straightforward because most steps involve simple drilling and bolting. We reuse as many factory bolt holes as possible to keep the process easy and consistent. The 1973–1987 Chevy C10 4‑Link Rear Suspension is a true 100% bolt‑on system and works with your factory rear axle. For those wanting a complete solution, fully welded 9″ axle housings are also available and ready to bolt in.
All TCI Engineering products come with our Dual Warranty. 6 Year, 60,000 Mile Warranty on wear and tear items like bushings, coil-overs, & ball joints. Any items built in house by TCI Engineering such as link bars, control arms, spindles, crossmembers, etc come with a Lifetime Warranty.

Commonly Needed With This
Parts builders usually buy alongside this one — gaskets, seals and hardware for the install. These are suggestions, not a verified fit: call (714) 202-7886 to confirm before ordering.
