A 426 cubic inch Gen III HEMI, built here in Huntington Beach on a Dart block with a forged rotating assembly — the number every Mopar owner knows, on an engine that starts life in this decade.
Where the 426 comes from. A 4.090" bore and a 4.050" stroke is 425.7 cubic inches. It is not a badge we chose, it is what these parts measure.
Why a Dart block and not a factory 6.4
The production 392 is a good engine and a poor foundation for this power level — it is cast for the power it left the factory with, and the main webbing is where it gives up. The Dart casting is purpose built for the aftermarket. It is the single largest line in this build and it is the reason the rest of it survives.
What it is built to support
Up to 700 horsepower naturally aspirated as specified here, and the bottom end is put together to carry up to 1,200 under boost if a supercharger goes on later. Those are the limits the combination is built to, not dyno figures — we build and install engines but we do not tune them, and our tuning partner does that work.

Specified with the build, quoted at order
A stroker is not a parts list you can price in full before the block is measured. These are supplied with the engine and priced when we spec it:
| Line | Why it is quoted | |
|---|---|---|
| Forged pistons | compression height is set by this combination of deck, stroke and rod length, so they are specified once the block is measured. There is no shelf part number for a 4.090 x 4.050 x 6.125 piston | quoted |
| Cylinder heads | we list no Gen III HEMI head, and the right head depends on whether the engine is naturally aspirated or boosted | quoted |
| Rod bearings | sized with the crank once it is measured | quoted |
| Timing set and VVT components | chosen with the cam specification | quoted |
| Oil pan and windage tray | depends entirely on the chassis it is going into | quoted |
| Balancer and front cover | matched to the accessory drive | quoted |
| Fuel injectors and throttle body | sized to the power target and the fuel | quoted |
| Engine management | a Holley Terminator or equivalent — and the tune itself is done by our partner, not here | quoted |
The machine work is in the price
A bare Dart casting is honed with a torque plate, decked, and the mains align honed before anything goes into it, and the rotating assembly is balanced as a set once the pistons exist. That is $1,800.00 of outside machine work and it is included above rather than added later.

Platform-level fitment (Ford + GM, Phase 1). We publish the engine platform a part is built for — not year-and-trim application data — so nothing here confirms a fit on a specific vehicle. Confirm fitment with us before ordering: (714) 202-7886.
Commonly Needed With This
Parts builders usually buy alongside this one — gaskets, seals and hardware for the install. These are suggestions, not a verified fit: call (714) 202-7886 to confirm before ordering.
